The Blueing the Black Sea project was represented at the 5th International Water Forum in Istanbul on 5–6 May 2026, contributing to discussions on sustainable financing and innovative approaches to water infrastructure development.

During the panel discussion titled “Sustainable Financing for Water Infrastructure and Beyond: Tailor-Made Models,” Senior Programme Manager Pearce-Oroz shared insights on the importance of tailored financing mechanisms, regional cooperation, and investment in advancing environmental solutions across the Black Sea region.

The session brought together policymakers, development partners, financial institutions, and environmental experts to exchange perspectives on scalable and inclusive models for financing water and environmental infrastructure.

The International Water Forum provided a valuable platform for dialogue, partnership-building, and knowledge exchange on the future of sustainable water management.
